Thomas Brandwijk shares how Onepush started from frustration and evolved into a platform that automates work preparation and connects pre-production and production in shipbuilding.
Sara Comalli shares her journey joining Onepush and discovering how Onepush 4.0 connects pre-production and production in one complete shipbuilding platform.
I am Sara Comalli, Marketing Manager and Sales Assistant at Onepush, and the first young woman to join the team in an industry that is still largely male-dominated.
When I joined Onepush, I immediately immersed myself in the company. Since I was quite new to shipbuilding, it was a challenging and fascinating process to understand how engineers, cutting companies, and production teams work together.
What became clear very quickly is that shipbuilding is a highly structured and complex process. Small inefficiencies in how information flows between teams can have a significant impact on timelines, coordination, and overall project performance.
This made me realize how important clarity and structure are in modern shipbuilding.
As I learned more about the process, I saw how each role depends on the other.
Engineers prepare the model.
Cutting and forming companies prepare the material.
Production teams assemble and weld the structure.
But when information is not aligned between these steps, teams are forced to interpret, recheck, and adjust.
This leads to:
repeated work
miscommunication
delays during production
It is not a lack of expertise that causes problems.
It is the disconnect between steps.
When I was introduced to Onepush 4.0, the platform was already technically developed.
Through discussions with the team, I started to understand what makes it different.
Onepush connects pre-production and production into one structured digital workflow.
Instead of treating preparation and execution as separate phases, everything is aligned:
from 3D model
to building package
to production on the shop floor
What stood out to me immediately was how clear and logical the platform is.
It reflects how shipbuilding actually works.
Teams no longer rely on scattered information.
They work from one consistent source.
Onepush is not just a tool that companies need to figure out on their own.
Our team actively supports every project.
We help configure building packages, guide clients through the process, and stay involved to ensure everything works as expected.
This combination of automation and human support creates a more reliable experience.
Companies can work independently when they want flexibility, and rely on expert guidance when needed.
Joining Onepush gave me a new perspective on the industry.
I saw how much impact better structure and alignment can have on daily work.
By connecting pre-production and production in one platform, teams can:
reduce rework
improve coordination
gain better control over their projects
For me, it also showed how important it is to bring new perspectives into traditional industries.
Being the first young woman in the team is something I am proud of, but more importantly, it reflects how the industry is evolving.
Different perspectives, collaboration, and openness are key to building stronger teams and better solutions.
Shipbuilding is changing.
Digital tools, automation, and better workflows are becoming essential.
From what I have seen, platforms like Onepush can play a key role in making projects more efficient, predictable, and aligned.
And this is only the beginning.
